The Hope Street Farmers Market is a farmer-run cooperative created and managed by many of the best farmers and food artisans in Rhode Island. We sell fruits, vegetables, flowers, cheese, breads and pastries, pasture-raised meats, seafood, poultry and eggs, and many other items that we grow, make or raise ourselves. Come join us every Saturday morning from 9 to 1:00 and Wednesday afternoons from 3:00 to 6:00. Load up your shopping bags with great things to eat, listen to live music and spend time with your neighbors - all at Lippitt Park on the East Side of Providence where Hope Street and Blackstone Boulevard meet.
For your convenience, here are some of the unique features of the Hope Street Farmers Market:
Bicycle Valet is a service run by the Rhode Island Bicycle Coalition at the Saturday morning market. Volunteers from RI Bike will watch your bike for you while you shop. Anyone can drop off their bike, for free, and shop with the confidence that their bike is safe and secure. The Rhode Island Bicycle Coalition works to make bicycling safer and more accessible throughout Rhode Island through advocacy, events, and coordinating efforts of partner organizations. Visit ribike.org for more information.
Knife Sharpening while you shop is another new feature of our Saturday market. You can drop our your knives (wrap them carefully and mark them with your name please!) to be professionally sharpened for a small fee while you shop.
Live music at the markets features local musicians or acoustic bands playing every Saturday and some Wednesdays, so feel free to bring a blanket, buy your picnic lunch or supper and enjoy the entertainment with family and friends! (If you are interested in playing for tips and food gifts on Wednesdays please fill out the music application form (on the APPLICATIONS page) and email it to us.
